Background Information
Project Goals
As I did some research on similar animal rescue organizations in southern California, I realized that there were a lot of similarities in these organization’s logos and brand identity. For someone unfamiliar with The Gentle Barn, it would be easy to confuse them with other rescues. I wanted to find a way to stay loyal to their reputation, while injecting some of their unique, gentle spirit into their brand.
Important Note:
I am not affiliated with The Gentle Barn and was not contracted by The Gentle Barn for any of the following work shown here. This was a purely theoretical project.

Website Design

Website Re-Design
Using the established system I created, I redesigned the website with the goals of modernizing the experience while keeping the information easy to access. I created a new site-map to simplify the top navigation menu, and utilized existing images and video to heighten the overall experience.

Social Media

Instagram Carousel Post
I used the Instagram Carousel feature to create a post about Susie Q, one of the cow residents at the Gentle Barn. The user swipes to see each slide telling her story.
Printed and Physical Media

Printed Materials
The stories of animals residing at The Gentle Barn are told through print ads (designed for local tourism and vegan/vegetarian food magazines) standing banners (for events, and site specific set-ups) and plush toys offered as an incentive to sponsor an animal.
